The Interact Service Club is sponsoring the bi-annual Vitalent Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Lyceum.
Students at least 16 years old with a parent permission form as well as faculty and staff are invited to participate.
Sign up during lunch periods at the corner of State and Madison.

The GBS Model UN team is hosting a trivia night open to all Glenbrook South students, families, and teachers/staff to support future travel costs and pay for supplies for their conference.
Teams do not have to be an expert in international relations or world diplomacy to enter, as the event will feature general trivia.
Space is limited, and teams of three to six individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Registration is suggested at $10 per person and will be collected at the door.

2023 GBS PA Distinguished Teacher Award Nominations

Students, do you have a favorite teacher? Is there a teacher who positively impacted you and your classmates? Would you like to see this teacher recognized at the annual Honors and Awards Ceremony? Now is your chance to nominate them!
The Glenbrook South Parents Association is accepting nominations for the 2023 Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award starting Monday, February 20. The award is designed to recognize exceptional teachers who generously give their time, share their passions and expertise, and improve lives.

GBS PA Parent Education: Current Trends in Adolescent Substance Use

Join us for the the next Parent Education event of the year! On Tuesday, March 14, the GBS Parents Association will host Erin Tegge, Prevention Director at Peer Services. Erin will be speaking on Current Trends in Adolescent Substance Use including:

- Overview of current trends of alcohol, vaping, and other drugs
- Signs and symptoms of use
- How parents can support their teens

This event will be held in-person in the GBS Lyceum, and online using the webinar information below. We hope you'll join us in person to more fully participate in the questions and discussion to follow the presentation.

Did you know the Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) requires all workers under the age of 16 to obtain a work permit?
If a student needs a work permit, they can obtain one through the GBS student services office, which issues permits on IDOL's behalf. To learn more about the process and to get started, visit the minor work permits webpage.
