GBS Winter Clothing Drive
|
Titans Helping Titans will hold its annual Winter Clothing Drive during the week of November 14. It's critical to help our students and their families be prepared for the upcoming winter months. Last year, with the generosity of the GBS community, over 1,650 items were distributed to 116 families. Our donation drive was so successful that we were also able to donate winter clothing items to Onward House, Trinity Services, and the Family Focus-Family Network.
During the drive, Titans Helping Titans will accept donations of new or gently used winter jackets, hats, boots, scarves and gloves of all sizes and styles for children and adults.
Donations are being accepted now in the GBS main entrance lobby through Friday, November 18, 2022.

39th Annual GBS Food Drive
|
Glenbrook South’s Student Council will be continuing the long-standing tradition with its 39th annual Food Drive. The theme for 2022 is CAN-cel Hunger! In partnership with the Northfield Township Food Pantry, we will be collecting items to fight food insecurity right here in our own community. The highest priority items this year are canned hearty soups, rice mixes, applesauce, beans (both dry and canned), canned meats (like chicken and salmon), and canned fruit.
Students and staff are encouraged to drop off items for donation at the Student Activities Office before and after school and during all lunch blocks. Community donations will be picked up by neighborhoods on Saturday, November 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or may be dropped off at the Auto’s Courtyard (Door OO).
We believe the power of this food drive lies in a student’s initiative to collect items/spend time purchasing them before donating; however, monetary donations may still be made through our school’s eFunds portal under the Parent resources tab on the GBS website. Under the "Welcome" bar, select "Pay for GBS Food Drive" --OR-- select the "Pay for Optional Fees" link to donate. All proceeds benefit the Northfield Township Food Pantry and Onward Neighborhood House in Chicago.
Because hunger is unacceptable in our community, together we work to CAN-cel Hunger!
